Standards Certification

GTAIB has adopted the ISO standards. GTAIB are members of ISO standing working groups across the Globe, on various ISO standards. We work closely with the affiliated bodies across the globe to offer our members the various ISO standards for Implementation, Certification and Auditing, across the various disciplines within the Supply Chain Management, whether internally or within the downstream stakeholder environment.

We provide our members with simplified checklists (cheat sheets) for self-evaluation and offer a grading system for evaluation of compliance against international standards.

  1. Desktop Audits
  2. GTAIB provides its members with Desktop Audits in which simplified checklists are provided for self-evaluation. The member company will be able to conduct documented self-evaluations according to the checklists (see Addendum A). Photos can be uploaded. Results of the self-evaluation shall be forwarded to GTAIB within ten (10) working days of completion. Results will be given in terms of a zero (0) to five (5) star grading system.

    Classification levels will be as follows:

    Compliant with minimum standards – receiving an 80% score or a 5 star grading.

    Risk Level 1 – low risk levels – receiving a 60%-79% score or a 4 star grading.

    Risk Level 2 – moderate risk levels – receiving a 40%-59% score or a 3 star grading.

    Risk Level 3 – significantly high risk levels – receiving a 20%-39% score or a 2 star grading.

    Risk Level 4 – very high risk levels – receiving a 0%-19% score or a 1 star grading.

    The self-audit serves as a preliminary audit which allows the member company to evaluate itself against international standards and allows for changes to be made and compliance issues to be address before requesting a formal Quality Audit Review (QAR).

  3. Quality Audit Review Certification (QARC)
  4. GTAIB provides its members with Quality Audit Review Certification. GTAIB in conjunction with various subject matter experts and industry leading institutions will conduct a Quality Audit Review (QAR) into the requirements for a specific product, service or entity aligned with the international standards and best practices. The results of this audit and certification process, will be provided on a five (5) star grading system, with scores ranging from zero (0) to five (5) based on the evaluation of compliance against international standards. Results will be given in terms of a zero (0) to five (5) star grading system.

    Classification levels will be as follows:

    Compliant with minimum standards – receiving an 80% score or a 5 star grading.

    The costs of the GTAIB certification shall be the responsibility of the member. The authorised auditor shall inform the member company of the audit results within ten (10) working days from the date of completion of the audit. If requirements are not met the auditor will submit a Corrective Action Requirements report to the member company. The member company shall respond within ten (10) working days, documenting the action to be taken and the date the action will be completed. The QAR Certification will be valid for 12 months (1 year) from the date of issuing the certification.
